3. Step-by-Step Botanical Wash & Styling Ritual
In Part 3 of our breakdown for The Airy Botanical French Bob: Cheekbone Framing & Sea-Salt Mist Styling, let’s walk through the exact hands-on technique I teach my clients so their hair looks salon-fresh without heat damage.

Camille’s 10-Minute Clean Styling Protocol
Start with a sulfate-free botanical shampoo—something with chamomile or calendula to brighten and soften. Condition only the mid-lengths and ends, then gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel. While hair is still damp (about 70% dry), spritz your homemade sea-salt mist generously from the roots to the ends, but avoid soaking the scalp—you want lift at the crown, not a wet mess.
Now, flip your head upside down and scrunch the hair upward with a linen towel or your fingers. This encourages the natural wave and creates that airy volume at the roots. Let it air-dry for 20 minutes, then use a diffuser on low speed and low heat, cupping sections from underneath and lifting at the roots. Once dry, shake your head gently, run your fingers through the ends, and finish with a light mist of chamomile hydrosol to seal in softness and shine.
