3. Step-by-Step Botanical Wash & Styling Ritual
In Part 3 of our breakdown for The Soft Bob for Hijabi Style: A Chic, Face-Framing Cut, let’s walk through the exact hands-on technique I teach my clients so their hair looks salon-fresh without heat damage.

Camille’s 10-Minute Clean Styling Protocol
Start with a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner infused with argan oil or shea butter to nourish the hair without weighing it down. Once a week, swap your conditioner for a chamomile tea rinse—steep two bags in hot water, cool, and pour over freshly washed hair for natural shine and subtle golden tones. Gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel, then apply a pea-sized amount of lightweight mousse to the roots and mid-lengths.
For styling, I prefer air-drying or using a diffuser on low heat to enhance the bob’s natural movement. If you’re in a rush, flip your head upside down and blow-dry with a round brush to create volume at the crown. To finish, smooth a drop of argan oil over the ends for a glossy, healthy seal. When wearing a hijab, I advise letting the hair fully dry before covering it—this prevents flattening and keeps the cut’s shape intact.
