In Part 3 of our breakdown for The Botanical Bob: A Soft Curly Cut for Natural Movement, let’s walk through the exact hands-on technique I teach my clients so their hair looks salon-fresh without heat damage.

Camille’s 10-Minute Clean Styling Protocol
Start with a low-poo wash using a sulfate-free cleanser, then while hair is still soaking wet, apply a generous amount of aloe vera gel from mid-lengths to ends. Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute, then gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel. Plop for 10 minutes to set the curl clumps.
After plopping, let hair air-dry naturally—no touching! Once dry, I like to scrunch in a few drops of argan oil to add shine and soften any crunch. If you’re in a hurry, use a diffuser on low heat with the bowl method, but air-drying gives the most natural movement for this bob.
