4. Long-Term Scalp Care, Glossing & Maintenance
Welcome to Part 4 of 4 of my guide on The Botanical Bob: A Soft Curly Cut for Effortless Waves. Keeping your cuticle glossy and your ends split-free between trims comes down to a few simple weekly habits.

Preserving Your Cuticle & Natural Shine
Long-term, your scalp thrives on a balanced microbiome. Once a week, massage a few drops of rosemary hydrosol into your scalp before washing to stimulate circulation and calm irritation. At night, twist your curls into a loose pineapple and sleep on a silk pillowcase to reduce friction and preserve the shape.
Every six weeks, I recommend a micro-trim to keep the bob’s line crisp, and a hydrating mask with shea butter and honey to replenish moisture. In the salon, I’ll also do a quick herbal gloss with chamomile tea to add shine and a golden tint that makes your curls look lit from within.
