4. Long-Term Scalp Care, Glossing & Maintenance
Welcome to Part 4 of 4 of my guide on Espresso & Chestnut Botanical Gloss for Dimensional Brunettes. Keeping your cuticle glossy and your ends split-free between trims comes down to a few simple weekly habits.

Preserving Your Cuticle & Natural Shine
Long-term, I tell my clients to protect their gloss with a silk or satin pillowcase—cotton can strip the botanical shine and cause friction. Also, massage your scalp with a few drops of jojoba oil nightly to keep the microbiome healthy and support new growth.
Every six weeks, I recommend a mini-gloss refresh at home (half the mixture, 5 minutes) and a micro-trim in the salon to keep ends sharp. This way, your brunette stays dimensional and glossy, without ever touching a chemical dye. Your hair will thank you, and so will your scalp.
