3. Step-by-Step Botanical Wash & Styling Ritual
In Part 3 of our breakdown for Curly Bob Revival: Botanical Cut & Gloss for 2023, let’s walk through the exact hands-on technique I teach my clients so their hair looks salon-fresh without heat damage.

Camille’s 10-Minute Clean Styling Protocol
Start with a sulfate-free shampoo, focusing on the scalp, then follow with a lightweight botanical conditioner. After rinsing, gently squeeze excess water with a cotton tee—never a rough towel. While hair is damp, apply a pea-sized amount of argan oil to the ends, then scrunch in a few spritzes of sea salt spray for texture. If you prefer more definition, use a wide-tooth comb to distribute, then let it air-dry or diffuse on cool.
For the cut itself, always go to a stylist who works with dry curly hair, but for at-home upkeep, I recommend a monthly gloss treatment: mix a few drops of rose hydrosol with aloe vera gel and smooth it over the bob. That revives the shape and adds mirror-like shine without any heat. If you do use a diffuser, keep it on low speed and cool air to avoid frizz, and finish with a cool shot to lock the cuticle.
