4. Long-Term Scalp Care, Glossing & Maintenance
Welcome to Part 4 of 4 of my guide on Silicone-Free Glass Hair: Olive Squalane Mirror Blowout. Keeping your cuticle glossy and your ends split-free between trims comes down to a few simple weekly habits.

Preserving Your Cuticle & Natural Shine
To maintain that mirror finish, I always advise my clients to protect their hair overnight with a silk or satin pillowcase. This reduces friction and keeps the cuticle smooth, so your blowout lasts longer. Also, consider a weekly scalp massage with a few drops of squalane to nourish the roots and support a healthy microbiome—healthy scalp means healthier, shinier hair.
Every six weeks, book a micro-trim to keep ends fresh and prevent split ends that dull the shine. In the salon, I finish with a quick herbal gloss rinse using chamomile or rosemary to enhance the gloss and add a subtle botanical fragrance. This routine keeps your hair looking like glass, but feeling like silk—no silicones needed.
