4. Long-Term Scalp Care, Glossing & Maintenance
Welcome to Part 4 of 4 of my guide on Soft Curtain Bangs & Collarbone Lob: Tailoring the Angles for Your Face Shape. Keeping your cuticle glossy and your ends split-free between trims comes down to a few simple weekly habits.

Preserving Your Cuticle & Natural Shine
Long-term, your scalp health is the foundation for beautiful hair. I tell my clients to massage their scalp with a few drops of jojoba oil once a week to stimulate circulation and balance oil production. This simple ritual keeps the follicles happy and encourages healthy growth. And at night, always sleep on a silk pillowcase—it reduces friction, prevents breakage, and keeps your bangs from getting wonky.
For maintenance, I recommend a micro-trim every six weeks to keep the lob’s shape sharp and the bangs from getting too long. In between, you can refresh your bangs with a quick blow-dry on cool setting. And once a month, treat yourself to a deep conditioning mask with botanical ingredients like shea butter and aloe vera to keep your hair hydrated and resilient. With this care, your lob will stay vibrant and full of life, just the way I’d want it for any client sitting in my chair.
