4. Long-Term Scalp Care, Glossing & Maintenance
Welcome to Part 4 of 4 of my guide on Curly Bob with Soft Layers: My Organic Salon Cut for 2023. Keeping your cuticle glossy and your ends split-free between trims comes down to a few simple weekly habits.

Preserving Your Cuticle & Natural Shine
Long-term, this cut thrives on a healthy scalp. I tell my clients to massage their scalp with a rosemary hydrosol spray every other night—it stimulates circulation and strengthens the roots. Also, switch to a silk or satin pillowcase; cotton creates friction that ruins your curl pattern overnight.
Every six weeks, come back for a dry shape-up to keep the bob crisp. At home, refresh with a water-based curl refresher spray on day two, and avoid over-shampooing—once or twice a week is plenty for most curly types. Your curls will thank you with bounce and shine.
