3. Step-by-Step Botanical Wash & Styling Ritual
In Part 3 of our breakdown for The Sculpted Bob for Brown Curls: A Parisian Organic Cut, let’s walk through the exact hands-on technique I teach my clients so their hair looks salon-fresh without heat damage.

Camille’s 10-Minute Clean Styling Protocol
Start with a sulfate-free wash—I use a gentle botanical cleanser with rosemary and aloe—then apply a rich conditioner, focusing on the ends. Rinse with cool water to seal the cuticle. While hair is still damp, rake a small amount of jojoba oil through the mid-lengths to ends, then scrunch in a curl-defining cream. Avoid heavy butters on the scalp; keep them for the lengths.
For styling, I’m a fan of heatless methods. Plop with a silk scarf for 20 minutes, then either air-dry or use a diffuser on low heat with a bowl attachment. Gently cup the curls, don’t rub them, and let them dry until 80% set. Finish with a spritz of rosemary hydrosol for shine and a light hold. If you must use heat, keep it under 300°F (150°C) and always use a heat protectant—your curls will thank you.
