4. Long-Term Scalp Care, Glossing & Maintenance
Welcome to Part 4 of 4 of my guide on The Sculpted Bob for Brown Curls: A Parisian Organic Cut. Keeping your cuticle glossy and your ends split-free between trims comes down to a few simple weekly habits.

Preserving Your Cuticle & Natural Shine
Long-term, your scalp needs as much love as your strands. I recommend a weekly scalp massage with a few drops of jojoba and tea tree oil to stimulate circulation and keep the microbiome balanced. This is especially important for curly textures, which are prone to dryness and buildup. And never skip the nightly routine: wrap your hair in a silk or satin scarf, or sleep on a silk pillowcase, to reduce friction and preserve your curl pattern.
For salon touch-ups, I suggest a micro-trim every 7 weeks to keep the bob’s shape crisp. Ask your stylist for a ‘curl-by-curl’ trim and a herbal gloss treatment every other visit to boost shine and strength. In my Parisian salon, we use a chamomile and hibiscus rinse to enhance natural color and add a mirror-like gloss. With the right care, your sculpted bob will stay vibrant and healthy, season after season.
